Privacy policy

Which data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose, and which rights you have.

This is a translation for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

1. Privacy at a glance

This website does not set cookies, currently does not use analytics or tracking tools and does not embed social media plugins, videos, maps or fonts from third parties. Only your choice in the consent banner is stored (see section 4). When you visit, only the data that every web server technically needs to deliver the pages is processed (server log files, see section 4).

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry.

Section 3 explains which rights you have regarding your data.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify. The provider is Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Netlify"). Netlify delivers the pages via a global content delivery network (CDN).

When you visit this website, Netlify processes the data listed in section 4 under "Server log files", in particular your IP address. This is technically necessary to display the website to you and to ensure its security and stability.

Netlify is used on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably, quickly and securely as possible.

Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the USA (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, the transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. Further information: https://www.netlify.com/privacy/.

Data processing agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Netlify. It ensures that Netlify processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. General information and mandatory information

Data protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data are data that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use them for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

JSLM AG
Thurn-und-Taxis-Platz 6
60313 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Phone: +49 171 335 44 26
Email: info@jslm.de

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or similar).

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you make a justified request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law). In the latter case, the data will be deleted once these reasons no longer apply.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 (1) (E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH A PROCESSING OPERATION IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 (1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS CONNECTED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged breach. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany, https://datenschutz.hessen.de.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar changing from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

If SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, deletion and correction

Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of these data. For this and for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do so, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need them to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, your interests and ours must be weighed against each other. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data may, apart from being stored, only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published as part of the legal notice obligation for sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, for example spam emails.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies, local storage and consent

This website does not set cookies. No analytics, advertising or tracking services are currently used, and no content is loaded from third parties; all content, including fonts and images, is delivered directly by our hosting provider.

On your first visit, a consent banner asks whether you agree to optional services (category "Statistics"). We store your choice only locally in your browser (local storage, entry jslm-consent, including the date of your choice) so that the banner does not appear again on every visit. This information is not transmitted to us or to third parties. The storage is technically necessary and is based on Section 25 (2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) and Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (proof of consent). It remains until you delete it in your browser.

No statistics services are currently active, so consenting to this category has no effect yet. Should we use such services in the future, we will inform you here and ask for your consent again (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer of the website.

Server log files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

These data are not merged with other data sources.

These data are collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website. For this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process your details (name, email address, optionally your company, and your message) in order to handle the enquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not pass these data on without your consent.

The form is processed by our hosting provider's form service (Netlify Forms, Netlify, Inc., see section 2). Your details are stored on Netlify's servers and forwarded to us by email. To protect against spam, the form contains a field that is invisible to humans; no cookies are set and no other services are embedded.

The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, and otherwise on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you give when submitting the form and can revoke at any time.

Your details remain with us until you ask us to delete them, revoke your consent or the purpose for storing them no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). We delete the entries in Netlify's form service once the enquiry has been dealt with. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Enquiries by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass these data on without your consent.

These data are processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete them, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular statutory retention periods, remain unaffected.
